A History of Helping Norfolk Grow

Since launching the nation’s first redevelopment project in 1951, NRHA has been dedicated to keeping Norfolk’s commercial and residential neighborhoods in great shape. Our redevelopment efforts have ranged from MacArthur Center to East Beach to the downtown Norfolk campus of Tidewater Community College.

Norfolk’s residential neighborhoods are well-maintained through several NRHA programs. If you need financial assistance to repair or renovate your home, our Loan & Grant Programs page can help. If you need technical guidance from our expert staff, our Technical Assistance page has your answers
