Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) will receive bids for the MERRIMACK LANDING SEWER MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS project located in the Willoughby Bay area of the City of Norfolk, Virginia.   Merrimack Landing Apartments are a privately owned market-rate rental housing community managed by Lawson Realty located near the entrance to Gate 4 of the Norfolk Naval Air Station off of Bay Avenue. Lawson Realty will manage the project from Merrimack Rental Office located at 8807 Monitor Way, Norfolk VA 23504. Bidders are welcome to tour the site.The sewer, roads and majority of utilities are privately owned. The work under this project consists of approximately 652 LF of 8” sewer main replacement, 788 LF of 4” & 6” lateral replacement, 959 LF of 6” & 8” sewer main rehabilitation, 2044 LF of root & grease treatment, and various other work consisting of cleanouts, MH raise, bench & flow repairs and rain stopper inserts. Pavement patch and repair is also included in the project. The work must be completed within 180 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).   This project is a complete rebid with new drawings dated 11-16-17 and specifications. The scope of work has not changed, but clarifications have been added to the drawings, specs, and the bid form has been reformatted. Bids will be received until 3.p.m. local prevailing time on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the office of NRHA, 910 Ballentine Boulevard, Norfolk, Virginia at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Copies of the contract documents (in a CD format) may be obtained by submitting to NRHA a nonrefundable payment of ten dollars ($10.00), company check or money order only, for each set of documents so obtained.  Pick up from Joni Stahl (314-2087), 555 E. Main Street, 17th Floor, Norfolk, Virginia.   Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications will be available for review at NRHA, 555 E.
