The general scope of work involves substantial renovations to existing 1-story and 2-story residential units, including replacement of roofing, siding and related components, replacement of windows and exterior and interior doors, partial replacement and upgrades to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and other interior and exterior improvements as described in the contract drawings and specifications.A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. with a site visit from 10:00 am – 3:00 p.m. at Merrimack Landing Management Building, 8807 Monitor Way, Norfolk, VA.  All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.  This will provide bidders the opportunity to examine a variety of unit interiors.  The site may be accessed at other times for examination of exteriors only. Copies of the contract documents (in a CD format) may be obtained by nonrefundable payment of ten dollars ($10.00) and will be available at the pre-bid and also at NRHA, 201 Granby Street, 6th Floor, Norfolk, VA, Joni Stahl, 314-2087. Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications will be available for review at NRHA, 201 Granby Street, 6th floor, Norfolk, VA and Builders and Contractors Exchange, Norfolk, VA.
