The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) will receive bids for:

Grandy Village, Phase V-A Surcharge

 

A pre-bid meeting will be conducted at Housing Operations, 910 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 1:30 PM. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

 

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install and maintain the proposed surcharge.  The purpose of the surcharge plan is to compact the soil prior to construction. Per the geotechnical report the surcharge must remain in place for 3-4 months prior to construction.

            Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, local prevailing time, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at NRHA, Housing Operations, 910 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, Virginia. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

            Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications will be available for review at NRHA Office of Economic Opportunities, 201 Granby Street, Suite 301, Norfolk, VA; Builders and Contractors Exchange, Norfolk, VA; and the Virginia Procurement Website (www.eva.virginia.gov). A CD will be available for purchase from NRHA, 910 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA for the non-refundable price of ten dollars ($10.00, cash or check only).
