Modifications and Site Improvements


A pre-bid meeting will be conducted at NRHA, Housing Operations, 910 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:30 AM. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.


The scope of work includes all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete renovations of four existing apartment units to make them fully handicap accessible, site improvements, and interior upgrades at the Family Investment Center in Calvert Square as noted in the specifications and on the drawings.


Bids will be received until 3:00 PM, local prevailing time on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at NRHA, 910 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.


Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications will be available for review at NRHA Office of Economic Opportunities, 201 Granby Street, Suite 301, Norfolk, VA; Builders and Contractors Exchange, Norfolk, VA; and the Virginia Procurement Website ( A CD will be available for purchase from NRHA, 910 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA for the non-refundable price of ten dollars ($10.00, company check only).
