Norfolk, VA (February 4, 2016) – Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority’s (NRHA) September 30 Request for Proposals for purchase and development of 12 single-family detached homes has resulted in all lots being awarded amongst four contractors.

The lots located within the Central Brambleton, East Ocean View, Willoughby, and Berkley neighborhoods will be developed with quality crafted and designed residences.

While the RFP included NRHA preferred house plans, interested developers had the option to submit equal to or better house plans provided they were architecturally consistent with the respective neighborhoods.  The RFP established a minimum sales price for each lot and developers were given the option of bidding on any number of lots. Proposals were due by October 28, 2015.

The following five contractors were awarded one or more parcels. Each of the awarded contractors is a qualified member of NRHA’s Builders and Designers Guild.  Final plans are expected by March 31 and construction to begin late spring 2016.
