NRHA Sets Public Hearing to Present Proposed FY 2009 Budget

Norfolk, VA (May 22, 2008) – NRHA will conduct a public hearing on the proposed FY 2009 operating and capital budgets at 6:30 pm Monday, June 2, at the Ruffner Middle School Auditorium, 610 May Ave.

Previous public hearings were held on major components of NRHA’s budget. These include the authority’s capital budget for 14 public housing properties on March 31. Also, a hearing was held May 8 to address Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs funding NRHA receives to carry out development activities, on behalf of the City of Norfolk.

Copies of the detailed budget document will be available for review beginning May 23 at or at NRHA’s Housing Operations office, 910 Ballentine Blvd. or Budget Office, Tenth Floor, 201 Granby Street. *The NRHA Board of Commissioners will meet June 30th to approve the final budget.
