NRHA Annual ReportIn the world’s largest annual report competition, with 4,400 entries from over 25 countries, the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) awarded Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority’s (NRHA) 2010 annual report top place (platinum) in the global real estate sector and 18th best overall.

The LACP Vision Award is a renowned distinction in corporate/organizational and financial reporting. A jury of international communications experts assessed aspects such as the report cover, narrative, financials, creativity, message clarity and information accessibility.

LACP Managing Director, Christine Kennedy pointed out the judges comments: “This book deserves recognition for how creative it is and delivering a wow factor to readers. The development team seems to really understand what will draw the target audience’s attention and effectively create a level of interaction with the reader. The work is supported by a robust financials section that we believe is superb.”

The NRHA report beat out stiff competition from Korean and Hong Kong real estate giants Koramco REIT Management & Trust Co. (gold), Prosperity REIT (silver) and Kerry Properties Ltd (bronze).

LACP Platinum Vision AwardAmong the Top 50 overall winners where NRHA ranked 18th, were Cisco Systems (9th), Munich Airport (14th and 16th), American Institute of CPAs (23rd), Office Depot Foundation (29th), Nippon Television Network Corp. of Japan (36th), DIRECTV (37th), Cephalon Inc. (40th), Whirlpool Corporation (42nd) and Mead Johnson Nutrition (49th).

LACP Top 100 Annual Report AwardThe 32-page annual report was developed in-house by NRHA’s Communications & Marketing Department, headed by department director Ed Ware. The report was printed by Virginia Business magazine and distributed as a special insert to their September 2010 edition.
