Proposed Amendment to Assisted-Rental Programs Annual Plan Public Hearing scheduled for November 8, 2018

Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority has proposed an amendment to its Five Year plan and Annual Plan for its assisted-rental housing programs. The plan covers the period July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. Proposed amendment includes:

  • Waiting List Preferences
  • Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Occupancy Standards
  • Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Mainstream Vouchers

The proposed amendment is available for a 45 day review period from October 19 - December 5, 2018. Copies of the amendment are available at NRHA’s main office at 555 E. Main Street, all NRHA Tenant Management Corporations and Management offices and various offices throughout Norfolk. The Annual Plan include information on NRHA’s major goals, objectives and strategies for assisted-rental housing and HCV program, requirements/mandates by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and NRHA’s objectives and strategies for achieving the mission of “providing quality housing opportunities that foster sustainable mixed-income communities.”

A public hearing will be held in conjunction with the NRHA Board of Commissioners meeting on November 8, 2018 at 9:00 AM at 555 E. Main Street, Norfolk. Speakers must register thirty minutes prior to start time.
