ARRA Funds for Assisted-Rental Properties
Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, NRHA received $9.1 million from HUD for capital improvements at its assisted-rental properties. Work is underway on two projects including road and site improvements at the 257-unit Oakleaf Forest community and window replacement at the 310-unit Calvert Square community. The remaining funds will be used to make additional improvements at the Young Terrace, Partrea, Hunter Square and Bobbitt properties, which will be under contract by mid-March.
