Young Terrace Staff, TMC, Parks & Recreation Job Plus and Norfolk Police Department held an Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 14, 2017. The Easter Egg Hunt was held for Young Terrace residents ages 3-12 years old. The exciting event took place on the Young Terrace baseball field. The baseball field was divided into two sections one for kid’s ages 3-5 and 6 – 12 years old and was saturated in colorful bright eggs! Prior to the start of the event, Property Manager, Yolanda Wiggins encouraged and motivated the children for the event by lining them up and giving the countdown 1, 2, 3, GOOOOOOOO!  The children raced to find as many eggs as they could.  Eggs were filled with candy, tickets, and money!! All eggs with tickets were redeemed for prizes.

About one hundred children participated in this event! Over one thousand eggs were hidden around the community baseball field and school. And guess who made a surprise appearance… The Easter Bunny!

All proceeds were donated and supplied by staff and our partners, at no cost to the agency.

The event was a success, way to go Team Young Terrace!
