Project Based Voucher Program Applications Available May 19 from 9am-noon

Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) will distribute applications on May 19, 2017 for Project Based Voucher Program (PBV) for Diggs Town, Grandy Village, North Wellington, and Franklin Arms. 

 

To be eligible for the PBV program the applicant MUST be one of the following:

  • A current participant on our Housing Choice Voucher Program;
  • A current resident in our Low-Income Affordable Housing Program;
  • Or a current applicant on NRHA waiting lists for either above mentioned programs.

 

Applications are available for download May 19, 2017 between 9 am and 12 Noon at www.nrha.us. If you are unable to download the application, you may pick up the application at 555 E. Main Street on Friday, May 19, 2017 between 9 am and 12 Noon.

 

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE OR POSTMARKED BY June 5, 2017.  Any applications received or postmarked after June 5, 2017 will be ineligible for the PBV Program.

NRHA will also provide applications at our partnering agency locations: Community Services Board, Endependence Center, Hope House Foundation, Norfolk Division of Social Services, Eggleston Services, Access Aids, and the Office to End Homelessness.

 

Hand delivered, faxed, Federal Express or certified mailed applications will NOT be accepted; Fax is accepted as a reasonable accommodation for persons with a disability. For questions call (757) 624-8615.

 

Requirements for residency may include:  The head of household and all household members 18 years + (with the exception of full time students) must be employed a minimum of 29 hours per week for a minimum of six months unless elderly or disabled or the primary caretaker of a blind person or a disabled person as defined by the Social Security Act.
