USER AGREEMENT

NRHA, in partnership with YapStone, offers a selection of Online Rent Payment Services for NRHA assisted-rental residents.

If you use any Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority Online Rent Payment Service (“NRHA”, “Online Rent Payment”, “we”), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer; tablet, phone or any electronic device and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and restrict payment methods, in its sole discretion.

Contact your community manager with any questions regarding your rent and additional charges.

By using this online rent-payment service, you are saying that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of the user agreement.

 

FEES

When you pay your rent and other charges using one of the Online Rent Payment options below you will incur an additional charge.  The fees are determined and collected by YapStone, the RentPayment holding company, and not paid or conveyed to NRHA.

  • Minimum fee:  $4.95 for all debit and credit card payments
  • Debit card payment: additional cost of 1% of total paid
  • Credit card payment: additional cost of 2.95% of total charged
  • E-Check payment: additional cost of $1 regardless of amount paid

 

PAYMENT PROCESSING

Payments are posted to your account daily.  Payments made after the times shown below will be posted to your account with the next day’s date:

  • E-check payments made by 6 p.m.;
  • Credit and Debit card payments made by 8 p.m.;
  • MoneyGram payments made by 11 p.m.

 

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

When you use the Online Rent Payment Service, or send e-mails, text messages, and other communications from your desktop or mobile device to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, such as e-mails, texts, mobile push notices, or notices and messages on this site or through YapStone Services, such as our Message Center, and you can retain copies of these communications for your records. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

You may also pay your rent over the phone by calling 1-866-289-5977 and speak to a RentPayment customer service representative.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

RentPayment customer service representatives are available seven days a week, 8am- midnight (EST) at 1-866-289-5977.
