NRHA holds Public Hearing for FY 2020 Funding Application Summary
Each year NRHA receives funding from the City of Norfolk to implement its programs. Funding is provided by the City through the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Neighborhoods and the General Fund. Funding is also received from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development which funds the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnership Program. All of these programs award funding based on an application process.
The purpose of this document is to present the activities that NRHA proposes to undertake in Fiscal Year 2020 and for which NRHA will be applying for funding under the guidelines required by each funding program. In accordance with Title 36 of the Code of Virginia, a public hearing will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, beginning at 9:00 a.m.at NRHA, located at 555 East Main Street, to hear comments from the general public on the proposed funding.
The FY 2020 City Application Process began in August 2018 and will be completed upon contract approval in May 2019. Listed below are important events and corresponding deadlines that relate to the City application process.
