Norfolk Police Department (NPD) Chief Larry Boone updated NRHA Board of Commissioners on 25 community engagement programs being carried out jointly by NPD and NRHA in Calvert Square, Diggs Town, Grandy Village, Oakleaf Forest, Tidewater Gardens and Young Terrace communities. These initiatives are demonstrating significant impact in reducing property and violent crime incidents over 2016 levels. Chief Boone was joined by NRHA security staff and NPD Community Resource Officers (CRO) assigned to these neighborhoods.
