Donations Needed

NRHA is accepting donations to support the Community Gardens Project

The Client Service Department of NRHA is soliciting donations to help build community gardens in the several public housing communities.

The community gardens will increase a sense of community stewardship, build community leaders and promote healthy eating. Exposure to green space reduces stress and increases a sense of wellness and belonging.

Items needed include (but certainly not limited to) flower and vegetable seeds and seedlings, dirt, fertilizer, lumber to build raised garden beds, garden tools, etc.

NRHA will receive donations through June 30, 2015. If you have any questions, please call Lucy Major, Resource Development Administrator at (757) 314-1623.

Employee Recognition Committee

The Employee Recognition Committee of Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority is soliciting prizes and event tickets to distribute to employees via random drawing through the Employee Recognition Program.
The Employee Recognition Committee hopes to increase employee morale and satisfaction by giving employees the opportunity to attend local theatre, sporting and other entertainment events.  Because NRHA also wishes to increase community engagement, it is hoped that employee participation in local events will increase overall.
If you have any questions, please call Rob Pappas at 314-2082.

Thank you
