ATTENTION NRHA RESIDENTS:

As you know we are expecting to have a major storm or hurricane to come into our area this week. The key to survival is preparation. The ultimate responsibility for this preparation rests with individuals and families. The following information should aid you in preparing for, enduring, and recovering from disaster. If your Manager or City Officials advises you that your building must evacuate – please cooperate!

Now is the time to prepare! Make a Kit, Get a Plan, and Stay Informed: http://www.vaemergency.gov/hurricanes/

Please review the Virginia Hurricane Evacuation Guide as well as additional resources on their website including: how to build an emergency kit, and tornado and flood preparedness.

And look up your zone: http://www.vaemergency.gov/hurricane-evacuation-zone-lookup/

The zones are designated A through D and will provide residents with a better understanding of whether they should evacuate in an emergency or shelter at home, based on their street address and the nature of the emergency event.

 

Zone A: Grandy, Tidewater. Zone A and B: Calvert (check your address). Zone B: Hunter Square, Sykes, Young Terrace. Zone C: Bobbitt, Cottage Bridge, Diggs Town, Franklin Arms, Oakleaf Forest, Partrea.

NRHA strongly encourages you to look up you address on the map for 100% accuracy.


 

Due to the inclement weather, all NRHA programs, events and services will be canceled after 5pm, Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

- The NRHA Board of Commissioners meeting is rescheduled for Monday, September 17 at 9 am.
- Transportation services will be suspended beginning 8 pm on Tuesday, September 11th
- NRHA offices will close at 5pm on Tuesday, September 11 and will remain closed until further notice
